Welcome to Casa Fofo 🌿
We are a small, family-run guesthouse located about 200 meters from the beach, in a quiet, tropical residential environment.
The backpackers & vanlifers area has been designed for simple, respectful and self-sufficient travelers wishing to enjoy a peaceful place close to nature and the ocean.
To ensure that everyone has a pleasant stay, here are a few important rules.
🎒 Type of accommodation
The backpackers / vanlife area is for:
– travelers with hammocks
– travelers with tents
– travelers in converted vehicles / vans / overlanders
⚠️ This is not a party campground, nor is it a noisy gathering area.
Casa Fofo remains first and foremost a family-run, residential guesthouse.

maximum 5 consecutive nights

Silence & respect for neighbors
❌ no parties
❌ no loud music
❌ no excessive drinking
❌ no aggressive or disrespectful behavior
❌ no drugs
❌ no pets
❌ no unannounced outside visitors
Anyone not respecting the spirit of the place may be asked to leave Casa Fofo without refund.
We live on site with our children and 3 cats, and several neighbors live nearby.
Animal policy
❌ We do not accept animals of any kind or size, in order to preserve the calm of the place and the well-being of our cats living on site.
♿ Service animals recognized for medical reasons remain welcome, of course.
Accessible areas
Backpackers & vanlifers have access to outdoor common areas:

✅ outdoor shower / WC
✅ secure indoor parking (subject to availability)
🍳 Shared outdoor kitchen:
Access to the kitchen depends on casita occupancy and organization at the time.
It may therefore be accessible in certain situations, but cannot be guaranteed systematically.

– If used, you will be charged USD2.- per person per day
⚠️ Private casitas are obviously not accessible.
🍳 Kitchen & cleanliness
Where the outdoor kitchen is accessible, please:
– clean up after use
– wash and put away dishes
– do not leave food open
– dispose of waste correctly/discard the garbage can when it is full
– respect the peace and quiet of other travellers
🌿 Recycling: we sort our waste. Please respect the different bins provided.
🏊 Swimming pool
The pool is a place to relax. Please respect the following rules:
– mid-length and long hair tied up (men & women)
– quick shower before entering
– bathing suit mandatory
– no diving
– no food/drinks in the pool – no glass containers
– no loud music around the pool
– children under parents’ responsibility
⚠️ Unsupervised swimming pool. We decline all responsibility in case of accident.
🔥 BBQ & fire
– BBQs allowed only in designated areas
– fires on the ground are prohibited
– users responsible for cleanup
🚐 Vanlifers & Overlanders
Vans and converted vehicles are welcome 🌴
Please also observe the following points:
– no on-site emptying
– no unauthorized hook-ups
– no major mechanical work in the parking lot
– keep the area clean and unobtrusive
⚠️ Casa Fofo is not a fully serviced motorhome park.
