About us…
On a memorable evening in 2007 or 2008, my friends and I sat around a table laden with delicious food and let our imaginations run wild: what would we do if we won the Lotto jackpot? Before long, we were dreaming of exotic trips, luxury cars and magnificent villas. Naturally, we also wanted to share this fortune with our loved ones and help those in need.
Buoyed by our enthusiasm, we came up with an even bolder plan: to move to the tropics and open a diving center, a friendly bar and a massage area, complete with a few cozy rooms.
The evening came to an end, and with it, our dream seemed to fade… except for Jack. Captivated by the idea, he looked for destinations to realize our project. After considering the Samoan Islands in 2010, we had to give up due to logistical constraints.
Jack, always eager for adventure, then pointed us in the direction of Belize, but safety concerns made us change course. In 2016, we turned our attention to Panama and perhaps Costa Rica, attracted by their many assets. Swiss expatriates gave us invaluable advice.
A scouting trip was planned for May 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic changed our plans. Jack, needing a break from his career, took a year off. From September 2021 to September 2022, we explored Latin and Central America, preparing our Toyota Hiace 4×4 for the adventure, with work starting in January 2021.
Despite the challenges and necessary adjustments, our passion and desire to discover the world have only grown, bringing us closer to our dream of an idyllic life in the tropics.
So we’re off on a road-trip to Canada, the United States, Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. In the summer of 2022, we return to Switzerland to settle all the administrative formalities required for our move to Panama.
For a few months, we searched for our ideal home to make our dream come true. We finally found it in San Carlos and began, not without difficulty, the renovation of our home. We then build the casitas and the Jo-Well Center.
We are now ready to welcome our customers and offer them the best of ourselves for an unforgettable stay.
