Just a few minutes from Laguna de San Carlos, Cerro Picacho rises to an altitude of over 1,000 meters. Contrary to what its name might suggest, this hike is relatively short, but it climbs almost continuously.The effort is well worth it. Once at the summit, the view is spectacular: Laguna de San Carlos stretches out at the foot of the mountain, while on a clear day, the view extends all the way to the Pacific Ocean, Coronado, and the Altos de Mar\u00eda mountains. The trail is well-marked and does not require a guide. However, sturdy shoes are highly recommended, especially during the rainy season when the ground quickly becomes slippery. <\/p>\n\n
